About the role

Responsibilities
- Directs and coaches a staff of project management professionals to meet established goals and objectives for assigned projects.
- Provides oversight on the project lifecycle, ensures all checkpoint reviews are timely and effectively performed.
- Works closely with business partners to understand their business/project needs and allocates project managers accordingly.
- Manages, oversees and improves established project delivery performance by reviewing metrics, lessons learned, and other reviews.
- Responsible for effective Project Manager capacity plan, utilizing internal/ external project manager resources supporting an appropriate and relevant staffing model.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred) OR equivalent experience (required)
- 7+ years of increasingly complex project related experience (preferred)
- 3+ years of team management experience (preferred)
- 3+ years experience in financial services industry (preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI (preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with standard project development/management methodologies and tools required.
- Extensive experience with project planning; ability to utilize a variety of specific tools and techniques for planning, estimating, resourcing and scheduling IT projects.
