About the role
- DevOps Engineer integrating and managing Big Data applications for clients in an innovative AI company. Working with advanced technologies in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Integration and operation of Big Data applications
- Work with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Storm, Cassandra, Kafka)
- Support in building and operating Big Data systems for our clients
- Installation and configuration of complex Big Data environments
- Deployment and operation of software on Big Data systems
- Security management in complex environments (Kerberos, Active Directory)
- Support and incident management for Big Data systems
- Work with cloud platforms (OpenShift, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Automation using tools such as Ansible and Docker
Requirements
- Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent qualifications (e.g., vocational training)
- Strong knowledge of Big Data architectures and technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, Storm)
- Excellent Linux skills
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash)
- Knowledge of job scheduling systems
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python
- Independent and goal-oriented working style
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
