About the role
- Seeking a Structural Surveyor/Engineer to conduct inspections and report writing for residential projects in Yorkshire. Flexibly balancing site visits and remote work processes.
Responsibilities
- Carry out structural inspections and wall removal surveys at residential properties
- Take detailed site notes, photographs, and measurements during visits
- Prepare structural reports and calculations based on site findings
- Provide professional and approachable communication with clients
- Work closely with the Director on report preparation and project approvals
- Liaise with internal support teams where required
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure high-quality outputs
- Represent the business professionally during site visits
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying or equivalent
- Experience carrying out residential surveys or building inspections
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently from home
- Confident communicating with clients and explaining technical matters
- Attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high-quality work
- Comfortable working collaboratively with oversight from senior engineers
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Desirable: Chartered status (CEng IStructE or ICE)
