About the role
- Legal Associate role focusing on legal and compliance for international clients. Managing client obligations and providing training in a supportive, hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Support clients on a wide range of legal and compliance matters, including corporate, commercial, and regulated industries
- Advise clients on matters related to legal and compliance, ensuring that regulatory requirements are met
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and agreements relevant to client operations
- Support the day-to-day management of client obligations imposed by regulatory and supervisory authorities
- Keep yourself updated with laws, regulations, and market trends while ensuring compliance
- Provide training to clients and members of staff in matters related to internal processes, procedures, and use of systems
- Contribute to the continuous development of the company’s services and internal knowledge
Requirements
- LL.D. or M.Adv. degree (or equivalent), with a valid Maltese warrant
- 3+ years of experience in a similar legal role within the advisory space
- Fluency in English at a C2/native level, both written and verbal
- Proven knowledge of laws related to CSPs, MGA, MFSA, and Trusts and Trustees
- Strong critical thinking skills with experience advising diverse, international clients
- Excellent communication skills, good listener, with the ability to work both independently and within a team
- Organised, driven, and able to manage multiple priorities
