Data Engineer responsible for building and maintaining data solutions using Microsoft Fabric. Working within a consultancy environment to meet client expectations across various sectors.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain end‑to‑end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Data Engineering, Data Factory, and Data Warehouse capabilities.
Design, manage, and optimise data storage within OneLake, ensuring well‑governed, well‑structured, and shareable data assets.
Develop scalable Spark (PySpark/Spark SQL) data transformations through Fabric notebooks to support high‑volume processing.
Create, orchestrate, and monitor robust data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Fabric Data Factory.
Implement strong governance, security, and data lineage practices using Microsoft Purview.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment of Fabric assets, notebooks, and data pipeline.
Requirements
Proven expertise across core Microsoft Fabric workloads and the unified analytics environment.
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark‑based processing frameworks.
Solid understanding of lakehouse architecture, including Delta/Parquet formats and data modelling.
Experience designing secure, compliant, and well‑governed data platforms.
Nice-to-have: MS Fabric certification
