About the role
- Lead Engineer for ScottishPower’s RIIO-T3 Business Plan focusing on engineering design solutions and project management for electricity transmission upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Manage interfaces with EPC contractors and OEMs to ensure their designs are innovative and meet requirements for deliverables.
- Assess, develop and provide complex detailed engineering design solutions while balancing innovation and value driven engineering to reduce asset lifecycle cost.
Requirements
- Degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer Status (or working towards).
- Proven experience and knowledge in Circuits/Substations (Main Plant)/Protection & Control/ Civil & Structural engineering design works up to 400kV for electrical network transmission projects or similar.
- Good people and communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with other individuals, departments and businesses.
- Experience in dynamic engineering environment with multiple projects and ensuring delivery of outputs.
- Ability to implement, apply and promote CDM and Health & Safety best practice in a design environment.
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment with a diverse and demanding workload.
- Knowledge and experience of implementing new technologies and engineering solutions.
