About the role
- Data Scientist supporting national security initiatives through data analysis and quality assurance. Working with complex datasets to ensure accuracy and drive meaningful insights.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data transformations and analytic workflows
- Perform data quality, validation, and conformance analysis across diverse data sources
- Design and enforce data schemas and normalization standards (JSON, SQL, XSD, ECS)
- Support analytic efforts by preparing and structuring mission-critical datasets
- Identify patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improving data usability
- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and pipeline issues
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet mission objectives
- Contribute to improving overall data reliability and analytic effectiveness
Requirements
- Active TS clearance (SCI eligible)
- 9+ years of relevant experience in data science, data engineering, analytics, or related field
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or additional experience in lieu of degree)
- Strong experience with Python (data manipulation, scripting, analytics)
- Experience working with SQL databases (Postgres preferred)
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, and preparation (ETL/ELT)
- Familiarity with data formats such as JSON, XML, and others
- Experience defining and managing data schemas and normalization standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work through complex data challenges
- Willingness to obtain DoD IAT II certification (if not already held)
