About the role
- Data Engineer developing and maintaining data infrastructure for healthcare solutions in Portugal. Working with Oracle databases and Pentaho ETL pipelines in a flexible hybrid model.
Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and migrate data structures that support healthcare reporting and operational systems
- Work with Oracle databases and Pentaho ETL pipelines
- Ensure seamless data integration, transformation, and consistency across legacy and modern systems
- Develop a deep understanding of existing data architectures and adapt or migrate structures as needed
- Support reporting initiatives powered by Power BI
- Take ownership of technical tasks while collaborating closely with the broader project team
Requirements
- Solid experience working with Oracle databases
- Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and SQL, including development of complex queries
- Hands-on experience with Pentaho for ETL and data integration
- Proven ability in data modeling, particularly relational models to support reporting
- Experience working with legacy systems and understanding existing data structures
- Strong ability to adapt and migrate data architectures as required
- Sharp focus on data quality, consistency, and integrity
- Mid-level experience in a data engineering or similar role
- Autonomous technical profile with the ability to integrate into a project team
- Fluent in Portuguese
- Available for a hybrid model with two days per week in the office (Lisbon or Porto)
