About the role
- QA Engineer for an American company ensuring quality and performance in platform testing. Responsible for automation frameworks and collaboration with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks for API, UI and integration testing
- Create and execute automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium and Postman
- Ensure broad test coverage (functional, regression and performance)
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
- Run performance and load tests (JMeter, k6, Gatling)
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend performance and scalability improvements
- Support security testing initiatives (OWASP, pentests, API validation)
- Define and evolve QA standards and best practices
- Promote a shift-left testing culture
- Work with the team using TDD and BDD practices
- Create and maintain test dashboards and quality metrics
- Collaborate with developers, PMs and QAs
- Act consultatively to prevent incidents
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in test automation in agile environments
- Experience with frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or Appium
- Programming in at least one language: Python, JavaScript, Java or C#
- Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins)
- Experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL)
- Knowledge of tools such as Postman or RestAssured
- Experience with performance testing (JMeter, k6 or Gatling)
- Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL)
- Familiarity with security concepts (OWASP, vulnerability testing, API security)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Fluent English
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
- Experience with contract testing (Pact, Spring Cloud Contract)
- Knowledge of AI-driven test automation
- Experience in fintech, payments or complex platforms
- ISTQB certification
