About the role
- Senior/Staff Golang Software Engineer building a Master Data Platform for home24. Responsible for Tier-1 backend services and integration with Frontend teams in a hybrid setup in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development of robust, Tier-1 backend services using Go to power our brand-new Master Data Platform
- Take end-to-end responsibility for your work—from building the initial concept and RFC to implementation, testing, and monitoring
- Collaborate with Frontend teams to build high-efficiency APIs that ensure smooth integration across our entire ecosystem
- Utilize next-gen development practices; as a proficient AI user, leverage tools like ClaudeCode/Codex to bypass the mundane and focus on complex architectural problems
- Write clean, testable code and foster a culture of excellence through technical discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in Go (Golang)
- 8+ years in general web development
- Proven track record of building and maintaining scalable services and APIs for complex web applications
- Comfortable with cloud-based infrastructure (ideally Azure) and IaaC
- Team management experience is a plus
