About the role

Responsibilities
- Join a team of engineers and technicians specialized in optics, electronics, mechanics and software
- Responsible for the design of products for the characterization and calibration of optronic equipment
- Study and validate the technical and economic feasibility of collimators and their upgrades or variants
- Specify, model and develop innovative optical systems
- Ensure that collimators meet required performance specifications
- Monitor technological advances to remain at the forefront of optics and optronics
- Take full ownership of R&D project management: schedule, budget, risk management and technical coordination
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (optics, electronics, mechanics, software)
- Act as the primary client contact and be responsible for the quality, deadlines and performance of deliverables
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher (engineering degree or PhD) in optics/optronics or equivalent
- At least 10 years’ substantial experience managing projects with a strong optical component
- Scientific rigor and strong writing skills
- Curious, with a solid technical and scientific background, hands-on experimental aptitude, proactive and a team player who enjoys working on innovative solutions
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, is essential for communication with teams and anglophone clients
