About the role
- Contributing Designer for Oprah Daily, producing a print travel issue and supporting digital design needs across oprahdaily.com and social media platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute layouts for the print issue, collaborating closely with art, editorial, photo, and production teams
- Support daily digital design needs, including social posts, templated story assets, and occasional collage illustrations
- Help translate editorial concepts into strong, on-brand visual packages
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Assist with color markup and review
Requirements
- Proven editorial design experience, ideally within travel, lifestyle, or wellness brands
- Strong print design skills, with an understanding of how print and digital work together
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience working in Figma preferred
- Experience marking up images for retouching and color correcting preferred
- Excellent typography, layout, and visual storytelling instincts
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Comfortable working on-site in a collaborative editorial environment
