Responsibilities
Prepare financial reports to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
Perform general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
Prepare periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Implement and manage lease and other contract processes with operational leaders.
Foster a collaborative and solution-oriented environment by communicating effectively across departments to improve processes and resolve issues.
Reconcile leasing software to ERP and maintains ASC 842 requirements.
Review lease contracts to determine proper accounting.
Manage lease payments with accounts payable and ensures payments are accurate.
Implement and maintain contract software.
Provide outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
File required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
Coordinate with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e., GAAP, FASB), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.
Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.
Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline preferred.
One to three years of accounting experience required.
Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Highly proficient with accounting software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Sage 100, EZLease, Brex, FloQast knowledge is a plus.
