About the role
- Hewlett Packard Enterprise requires a Resident Engineer for developing and maintaining networking solutions in Hungary. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and training on HPE Juniper products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain expertise on products deployed within the customer’s network.
- Provide mentoring on HPE Juniper networking solutions.
- Carry out acceptance testing of new software releases and implementation support.
- Carry out troubleshooting/fault finding and support operations.
- Analyze network configurations and provide regular updates on work progress.
- Produce written summary reports on equipment and network problems, as well as technical documentation.
- Train customer personnel to configure and operate Juniper Networks products.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-year experience providing implementation and technical support of networking products (routers and switches) in WAN and LAN environments.
- Detailed understanding of protocols surrounding IP service provider networks including TCP/IP fundamentals, IP sub-netting and super-netting, and hierarchical routing principles.
- Routing protocol operation experience (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, RSVP, IPv6, Segment Routing).
- Strong experience in troubleshooting complex issues at device-level and network-level in a multi-vendor environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of new WAN architectures, multicast protocols, and IPTV services.
- Experience managing and configuring Juniper MX or comparable BNG platforms is a plus.
- Comfortable with Linux or other UNIX implementations, with scripting skills.
- Fluent in Hungarian and English (speaking, reading and writing).
