About the role
- Test Engineer for ETL/Datawarehouse Testing at Gartner, responsible for quality delivery via testing solutions. Engage in functional and automation testing in agile environments.
Responsibilities
- Review functional and technical documents to understand the data lineage
- Create and execute manual and automated test plans for ETL data pipeline, functionality, acceptance, regression, performance testing
- Engage and partner with developers and BA in an agile development environment to understand requirements and perform testing
- Create test scenarios, run functional tests, create regression suite, create testing artifacts, and raise defects with detailed information
- Follow coding standards, build appropriate unit tests, integration tests and deployment scripts and review project artifacts created by peers
- Design and develop automation scripts
Requirements
- 2-4 years hands-on experience in ETL concepts and testing in data warehouse/data driven projects
- Working knowledge of MDM system
- Strong command in writing complex PL/SQL scripts for Datawarehouse/ETL testing
- Understanding and testing experience in Data Warehousing/MDM and Data modelling
- Worked on cloud platform such as Azure or AWS
- Experience in testing ETL pipelines, BI dashboards & Self-Service reports
- Hands on experience of Test management tools JIRA, QC etc.
- Experience in testing API’s using Postman or automation tool will be a plus
