About the role
- Assistant Management Accountant at Greenergy managing core finance activities and collaborating with teams for operational decision-making. Part of a small team with occasional travel to Tamworth.
Responsibilities
- Support month-end close and production of management accounts
- Prepare annual business plan and quarterly forecasts
- Coordinate preparation of tailored management reporting
- Own 3rd party billing process
- Lead balance sheet reconciliations
- Support annual audit
- Business partner to wider Flexigrid teams
- Continuous process improvement utilising emerging technologies (PowerBI, AI).
Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts environment would be beneficial
- A willingness to learn and develop within a finance role
- Studying towards, or an interest in studying towards, AAT, ACCA or CIMA would be advantageous
- Some exposure to finance processes such as invoicing, reconciliations or reporting would be beneficial
- Experience with finance systems; exposure to Power BI or similar tools would be advantageous, but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to work with and interpret data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using systems and able to pick up new tools quickly
- Good Excel skills and a desire to develop further
- Organised, flexible and able to manage tasks effectively
- Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- A positive attitude with an interest in developing a career in finance.
