Responsibilities
- Manage external law firms in conducting litigation and administrative proceedings
- Define strategies and lead sensitive litigation and administrative actions
- Participate in the selection and implementation of legal systems
- Prepare management reports for oversight and monitoring of litigation
- Manage the Legal department's budget
- Draft, review and support approval of strategic contracts
- Provide legal support to Human Resources and Procurement, ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws
- Develop and deliver legal and compliance training
- Draft and review litigation filings and procedural documents
- Conduct research into legal doctrine and case law.
Requirements
- Law degree
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- 5 to 10 years' experience in litigation, gained at law firms or medium/large companies
- Strong experience drafting and reviewing litigation filings
- Fluent in English.
