About the role
- Lead Cloud Engineering team within AV Core Infrastructure at GM to build an elastic compute platform. Deliver developer-ready PaaS and own cloud-native compute and traffic engineering.
Responsibilities
- You will lead the Cloud Engineering team within AV Core Infrastructure (ACI) at GM.
- Build an elastic compute platform dedicated to autonomous vehicle development and operation.
- Deliver a developer-ready PaaS as a product.
- Own the cloud-native compute platform, including DNS and traffic engineering.
- Continuously develop and optimize the ACI PaaS layer to provide secure and resilient compute and storage capabilities.
Requirements
- Expert-level experience with Kubernetes (GKE preferred) and container orchestration at scale.
- Proven track record building 'Platform as a Product' for large-scale engineering organizations.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native storage, service meshes (Istio), and traffic engineering.
- Proven leadership experience at the Senior Manager or Principal-level scope.
