About the role
- Senior AI Full Stack Engineer at Kulu, building AI agents for software onboarding in a hybrid role. Work in Denpasar, Indonesia combining frontend/backend development with cutting-edge AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain modern web product surfaces (frontend + backend) with high quality and velocity
- Design and operate production AI systems: LLM integration, tool/agent orchestration, grounding/RAG patterns, and evaluation loops
- Work with computer vision in practical product contexts, from prototyping to deployment
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security across the stack (multi-tenant, RBAC, auditability)
- Contribute to infrastructure and operations: deployments, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring
- Collaborate closely with founders/product/eng to ship high-impact features quickly
Requirements
- 5+ years professional software engineering experience
- Strong full-stack background: modern React-based frontend + backend services (Python + FASTAPI required)
- Familiarity with computer vision fundamentals and practical implementation (e.g., image/video pipelines, embeddings, OCR, detectors, or VLM usage)
- Model deployment experience in production (serving, versioning, monitoring, latency/cost optimization)
- Hands-on experience shipping AI-enabled features in production (LLM APIs, tool/function calling, grounding/RAG, reliability/safety patterns)
- Strong engineering fundamentals: databases/data modeling, observability, secure-by-default design, and collaborative workflows
