About the role
- Accountant overseeing financial operations in the Forex industry at FP Markets Group in Cyprus. Managing bookkeeping, reporting, compliance, and providing financial advice to management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily financial operations of the company’s clients in the Forex industry.
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts.
- Monitor accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
- Process invoices, manage payments, and track all financial transactions.
- Prepare accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, and manage the preparation and timely submission of regulatory reports.
- Assist in preparing for audits and collaborate with external auditors.
- Provide financial support and advice to management as required.
- Prepare tax returns and management accounts.
- Prepare budgets and estimate monthly expenses for the company’s clients.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of PSP (Payment Service Provider) statements with accounting records.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial services, preferably with experience in Forex.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with accounting software and proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in record-keeping, and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
