About the role
- Senior US Reporting Manager at Flutter overseeing technical accounting and compliance with financial standards in a hybrid environment. Leading projects, training teams, and collaborating with various internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support special projects such as mergers and acquisitions and system implementations
- Lead or support the implementation of new accounting standards
- Plan, manage, and supervise technical accounting projects
- Create and manage comprehensive project plans
- Ensure relevant teams are trained and updated on new policies
- Train finance business partners, FP&A, and accounting teams
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical accounting guidance
- Support the preparation and filing of SEC financial reports
- Support the Internal Controls team with designing SOX controls
- Facilitate effective communication between external auditors
- Assist Head of US Reporting and Head of US Technical Accounting
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with 7+ years post-qualification experience
- Strong US GAAP and IFRS knowledge
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Thorough knowledge of current SEC reporting rules and regulations
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working through ambiguity
- Strong communication and people skills
- Experience working within a SOX control environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management or similar
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic PLC environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
