About the role
- Senior Financial Analyst supporting financial planning, reporting, and inventory analysis at First Book. Collaborating across teams to strengthen reporting systems and inform strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial reports across revenue, inventory, and program operations.
- Support month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting schedules.
- Perform detailed inventory reconciliations, including analysis of inventory movement, valuation, shrinkage, and related adjustments.
- Assist in tracking performance relative to plan across revenue streams, inventory margins, and operating expenses.
- Serve as a Finance resource for financial and operational systems, including ERP/accounting platforms and inventory systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 or more years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, FP&A, or financial systems roles.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial statement structure.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.
- Proven ability to analyze large data sets, identify discrepancies, and translate data into actionable financial insights.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, IT, and Revenue teams.
