About the role
- Community Investment Specialist overseeing FCC’s Drive Away Hunger initiative across Canada. Building partnerships and leading community investment strategies in food security and food loss with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution and execution of the national Drive Away Hunger initiative and contribute to broader Community Investment strategies
- Build and manage partnerships related to food security and FLW across the Canadian ag and food and food security charity sectors
- Identify emerging trends, gaps and opportunities in food security and FLW to inform strategy and initiatives
- Oversee and report on food security and FLW initiatives, success measures and outcomes
- Provide informal leadership, coaching and training to Community Investment team members
- Maintain strong internal and external relationships to support organizational goals
Requirements
- A degree in marketing; environmental, social and governance (ESG); public relations, or communications
- At least five years of experience in community investment, ESG or a related field
- Extensive knowledge and experience in community investment programs and practices
- Proven expertise in food security and food loss and waste initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, national initiatives and manage projects
- Advanced proficiency in both official languages (English and French)
