About the role
- SDET designing and developing Python-based automation frameworks for testing at Expleo with collaborative Agile/Scrum environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python
- Write efficient, reusable, and scalable test scripts for UI, API, and backend testing
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Develop and execute API automation using tools like REST Assured (Python equivalents), Requests, or similar
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Analyze test results, log defects, and track them to closure using tools like JIRA
- Improve test coverage and reduce manual effort through automation
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and testing standards
- Work in Agile/Scrum environments and actively contribute to sprint activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with automation frameworks such as PyTest, Robot Framework, or Behave
- Hands-on experience in UI automation using Selenium WebDriver (Python)
- Experience in API testing using Python libraries (Requests, HTTPx, etc.)
- Knowledge of test design techniques and QA methodologies
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Understanding of database testing (SQL queries, validations)
- Knowledge of logging, reporting tools (Allure, Extent Reports, etc.)
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience in BDD frameworks like Cucumber/Behave
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
