Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
- Led the implementation of Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) across multiple business domains to support metadata harvesting from sources like Oracle, Snowflake, Hive, SQL Server, and SAP.
- Implement and operationalize Informatica Data Governance tools (EDC, Axon, IDQ) to support data cataloging, data lineage, quality monitoring, and stewardship.
- Collaborate with data stewards, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure consistent definitions, standards, and processes across the data landscape.
- Developed and deployed data profiling, cleansing, and standardization rules using IDQ across customer, product, and financial data domains.
- Oversee the creation, curation, and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Catalog to enable enterprise-wide data visibility.
- Manage data stewardship processes, enabling subject matter experts to own and resolve data issues.
- Support regulatory compliance initiatives (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) by ensuring data governance practices are embedded into data lifecycles.
- Defined and enforced data stewardship roles and responsibilities using Axon’s stewardship framework.
- Monitor and report data quality metrics and lineage completeness, driving accountability across data owners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- 5-8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data architecture roles.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica Data Governance tools.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica Data Governance tools, including: Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) – for metadata harvesting, catalog curation, and lineage tracking.
- Axon Data Governance – for governance workflows, stewardship, and policy management.
- Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) – for profiling, cleansing, rule development, and exception management.
- Strong understanding of metadata, data lineage, reference data, master data, and data quality concepts.
- Experience working in hybrid cloud/on-premise data environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
