About the role

• PR Fellowship role managing account activities and executing PR tactics in a hybrid environment. Assisting in media relations and project management at EvolveMKD's public relations agency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day account management; such as agendas, recaps, activity reports, media monitoring, coordination of all necessary materials for client accounts, and responding in a timely and professional manner to client requests or needs
• Work collaboratively with team members to execute successful PR tactics and activations (creative mailers/ desksides /etc.)
• Manage the coordination and execution of PR send outs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials to media contacts, influencers, and clients, while maintaining meticulous records of all dispatches and follow-ups.
• Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ business and their competitive environments through ongoing research, media monitoring, and list management
• Support team and participate in development and execution of media events, editor desksides, client business planning, new business efforts, and creative deliveries as directed by senior leadership
• Daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly monitoring and reporting
• Learn to develop strong pitch letters, press materials, key messages, and event briefing materials
• Foster media relations, including identifying target media, drafting pitches, fact-checking, editor entertainment and generating consistent results
• Present ideas in a clear, concise and persuasive manner among vendors, peers and clients when appropriate
• Project management including development of timelines, management of project-specific budgets and vendor coordination
• Refresh client folders on an ongoing basis, and audit quarterly to ensure organization
• Help with admin and front office duties, including answering phones, running errands, and assisting with mailers and send outs

Requirements

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing a plus but not required
• Minimum 3 months of public relations internship experience with a focus on beauty, health and lifestyle brands is a bonus
• Strong written communications skills; ability to present ideas in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner, both in person and virtually via phone or email
• Proficiency in Office365, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with media database and monitoring tools such as Muck Rack and Cision preferred
• An open mind, with the ability to learn new skills quickly and comprehensively
• Ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external partners, fostering positive relationships and maintaining a respectful demeanor in all communications.
