About the role
- Senior Frontend Engineer developing scalable, user-centric systems for EvenUp's AI-powered platform. Working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance user growth and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve scalable, user-centric frontend systems and interfaces that drive growth initiatives across the platform.
- Enable rapid experimentation, feature rollouts, and data-driven iteration through robust frontend frameworks and reusable components.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Engineering to translate growth and product needs into high-quality user experiences.
- Own complex frontend engineering projects end-to-end, from design and implementation through deployment and iteration.
- Uphold high standards for performance, accessibility, reliability, and security in all frontend work.
- Contribute to the development of a strong engineering culture as the Toronto presence continues to grow.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in frontend engineering with a strong understanding of modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and the ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code.
- Proven experience building scalable, performant, and reliable frontend systems and interfaces in high-performance environments.
- Experience thriving in startup or high-growth environments.
- Strong grasp of modern engineering practices, including test-driven development, code reviews, CI/CD, and instrumentation for analytics/experimentation.
- Familiarity with web performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Experience with frontend tooling, build systems, and cloud-based deployments (e.g., AWS, Vercel, Netlify).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills when working with cross-functional teams.
- Leadership potential with an interest in mentoring junior engineers and shaping best practices as the team grows.
