About the role
- Accountant handling complete financial accounting for several entities at Engel & Völkers. Working independently, ensuring compliance with German accounting standards, and managing deadlines in a vibrant environment.
Responsibilities
- As an Accountant (m/f/d)*, you are responsible for the complete accounting for several of our legal entities and take on key tasks (in particular general ledger accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting, and payment processing)
- You prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) for multiple entities and ensure the correct and timely completion of closing procedures
- You handle incoming invoice verification and the creation of outgoing invoices, as well as commission accounting in the area of real estate brokerage
- You act as an important interface with the business units and ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies (HGB and tax law)
Requirements
- You have a completed degree or vocational training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) or equivalent
- You have several years of professional experience in financial statement accounting and knowledge of accounting regulations under HGB
- You are characterized by an independent, careful and deadline-driven way of working, combined with a strong commitment to performance
- Very good German and good English skills complete your profile
