About the role
- Senior DBA Analyst responsible for managing Oracle databases at Elo, a Brazilian payment technology company. Collaborating with teams to ensure performance and security of data systems.
Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and manage Oracle Exadata X8M instances.
- Perform Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Ensure data security and integrity through backups, disaster recovery, and access control.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to provide technical support and resolve complex issues.
- Document procedures, configurations, and best practices related to managing Exadata X8M.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments of Oracle environments.
- Stay current with the latest Oracle and ExaCS technologies and trends.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience administering Oracle databases.
- Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) and/or OCI Foundations (desirable).
- Deep knowledge of Oracle technologies, including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot complex database issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of security and compliance practices in Oracle environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
