About the role
- Power BI Developer designing and implementing robust data visualizations and business applications at e.l.f. Beauty. Requires experience in Power Apps and Microsoft Power Platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex datasets and dashboards in Power BI.
- Build and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps.
- Optimize Power BI datasets for performance and scalability.
- Connect to and integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Apply dimensional modeling techniques in Power BI to create efficient and user-friendly data models.
- Evaluate data requirements and determine the optimal approach between Power BI modeling and source-level transformations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, clearly communicating tasks and progress.
- Ensure data governance and security standards are followed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working with reporting and data visualization tools.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder, and Power BI Apps.
- Deep expertise in Power Query and DAX for data transformation and calculations.
- Strong understanding of Power BI dimensional modeling principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis (required).
- Solid understanding of data integration and ETL processes.
- Hands-on experience developing applications using Power Apps (required).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and mentor team members.
