About the role
- Senior Platform Analyst (Cloud Engineer) handling application migrations to Kubernetes environments. Ensuring stability and performance with modern cloud practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform application migrations to Kubernetes-based environments, ensuring stability, security and performance.
- Analyze monolithic or partially distributed architectures and propose appropriate modernization strategies.
- Plan and execute migration processes considering requirements for availability, scalability, observability, and service continuity.
- Support adapting applications to run in Docker containers.
- Implement and configure Kubernetes resources such as Deployments, Services, and Secrets.
- Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure applications migrate securely and efficiently.
- Support the definition and implementation of CI/CD pipelines targeted at Kubernetes environments.
- Monitor and assist in troubleshooting issues related to application runtime on the Kubernetes platform.
- Document architectures, patterns, and migration procedures adopted.
- Contribute to the standardization and evolution of the Kubernetes platform as the corporate application runtime environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience containerizing applications using Docker.
- Knowledge of traditional on-premises architectures and the challenges of migrating to distributed environments.
- Knowledge of automation and infrastructure as code.
- Technical analytical skills to identify risks and impacts during migrations.
- Experience in agile environments and collaborative work with multiple teams.
- Advanced English for conversation.
- Preferred experience with cloud providers.
- Knowledge of CI/CD applied to Kubernetes workloads.
- Experience with observability tools.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes security.
- Experience with GitOps tools.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices.
