About the role

  • Data Engineer II at Dun & Bradstreet collaborating with teams to enhance data quality standards and practices. Driving best-in-class data management across diverse disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Database administration, including performance tuning, and implementing best practices.
  • Develop and mentor coding standards.
  • Implement new data maintenance processes.
  • Evaluate and implement recent technology solutions.
  • End-to-end process ownership.
  • Communicate with stakeholders.
  • Conduct knowledge exchange sessions with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Automate manual processes and develop data tools.
  • Build new analytical processes, provide insight into data quality issues and implementation of data improvement solutions.
  • Build processes to fetch data from open data sources, e.g. websites.
  • Research and implement modern data mastering techniques to increase derived insight into disparate data sources.
  • Support other data engineers with design of ETL processes, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and data lineage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of data transformation processes, exposure to standard and complex datatypes. Knowledge of latest solutions in the market is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Data Operations methodology and data management approaches is preferred.
  • AWS/GCP certification (including cloud environment administration) required.
  • SQL Server administration (tuning, database design and optimization).
  • Strong knowledge of Python and SQL required.
  • Experience with a variety of coding tools and languages (SSIS, C#, Python, Git/Bitbucket, APIs, NoSQL).
  • Experience with CoPilot Agent Studio a plus
  • Knowledge of Jira, AI, Graph database is preferred
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and reporting tools (Power BI).
  • Understanding of security and version controls.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders and project plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
