About the role
- Senior Accountant responsible for financial reporting under HGB and advising clients on tax issues. Collaborating with stakeholders and implementing financial processes in a dynamic company.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all accounting and financial reporting in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Provide expert advice and support to our clients on all VAT (value-added tax) matters
- Independently prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
- Proactively communicate financial insights and recommendations to our clients
- Implement and optimize financial processes and quickly adapt to new tools and systems
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and a strong understanding of VAT law
- Experience in accounting, complemented by strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently of specific tools and quickly adapt to new systems (e.g., DATEV, SAP, Navision/Dynamics)
- Experience in the start-up environment and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
