About the role

  • Tax Manager providing compliance and advisory services for client businesses with a focus on tax planning and HMRC queries. Work alongside a collaborative tax team in a hybrid working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide great advice to and assist in overseeing compliance for our client businesses.
  • Work closely with our Group Tax team.
  • Deliver tax advisory work to business owners, including tax planning, advising on acquisitions and disposals.
  • Deal with HMRC enquiries and investigations.
  • Provide a technical resource to our team and others across the DJH group.
  • Support with the management, training, and development of junior team members.

Requirements

  • Be ACCA/ACCA/CTA qualified, with ideally at least 3 years PQE gained in Tax practice
  • Have solid experience of advising OMBs on a range of tax issues including corporation tax, income, and capital gains tax
  • Have some exposure to VAT issues would be an advantage, but it’s not a necessity
  • Have a proactive attitude, whether a task is complicated or simple, big or small
  • Be confident in working to achieve great things alongside the rest of the team
  • Thrive in a collaborative and progressive environment.
  • Love getting to know people and be a fantastic communicator.
