Responsibilities
Acting as a design engineer on a variety of building projects of various sizes and complexity
Following through all phases of projects from concept design through construction
Being driven to provide the highest technical quality in the delivery of designs, drawings, specifications, and in the field
Work with DIALOG's robust Specifiers to develop construction specifications
Working closely with our integrated team of architects, interior designers, landscape architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, as well as other partner firms
Prepare contract documents to evaluate tenders
Building relationships of trust with clients and other outside agencies
Opportunity to manage projects while working with limited supervision and participate in project planning
Review the installation, modification, testing and operation of structural design
Provide Contract Administration support for your projects
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering is required; a post-graduate degree is preferred
5+ years of related industry experience and eligibility of P.Eng.
Literate in Revit
LEED, Green Globes, ENV SP (or other similar sustainability) certification is considered an asset
An articulate and persuasive communicator that can convey complex technical concepts to non-technical firm leaders, staff and clients
Energetic, engaged, and demonstrates initiative
Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines and multiple tasks/projects
Located in, or willing to relocate to, Calgary
