About the role
- Manager of Information Security leading skilled teams in cybersecurity for Dexcom in the Philippines. Responsible for incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance activities.
Responsibilities
- You will lead a multi-discipline Information Security delivery team in the Philippines, composed of Security Engineers and Analysts across Security Operations, Security Engineering, Product Security, and/or GRC.
- You will own the day-to-day execution of security services including incident response, vulnerability management, security engineering, application and cloud security, and compliance activities based on your assigned portfolio.
- You will provide leadership during major incidents, investigations, and urgent security events, ensuring appropriate response, communication, and recovery.
- You will manage capacity, staffing, shift coverage, and prioritization across multiple teams to ensure reliable and predictable delivery.
- You will work with global Information Security teams through the Senior Manager to ensure priorities, standards, and delivery are aligned.
- You will track and improve operational and security KPIs, driving continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and risk reduction.
- You will identify process gaps, tooling needs, and training opportunities and work with the Senior Manager to mature the Philippines security organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related technical field, with 3+ years leading teams or major security programs.
- Demonstrated success leading security teams across one or more of the following areas: Security Operations, Security Engineering, Product Security, or GRC.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, and SOX.
- Experience leading teams through high-pressure security incidents, outages, and urgent remediation efforts.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to translate security risk into operational priorities.
- Proven ability to build, coach, and retain high-performing teams in a global, matrixed environment.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP.
