About the role

• Business Analyst responsible for consulting and software development projects at DATAGROUP. Collaborating with clients to analyze needs and create user stories in Mainz office.

Responsibilities

• You work on consulting and software development projects (especially Scrum and Kanban) with our clients from the Mainz office and remotely.
• In close collaboration with our clients' subject-matter experts, you analyze their current needs and accurately document them as user stories and/or business and IT specifications.
• You apply the appropriate techniques from your methodological toolkit, e.g., interviews, brainstorming, workshops, User Story Mapping, Design Thinking, or customer journey mapping.
• You collaboratively develop excellent solutions with clients and developers.
• You contribute your project experience in software development and software design.
• You act as the central hub for information exchange, connecting business stakeholders, the development team, and management.

Requirements

• You hold a completed university degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
• You present yourself confidently and convince through a structured approach, professional competence, and proactive, respectful communication.
• You have at least two years of practical experience in customer-facing consulting, including agile project environments.
• You are proficient in German, both spoken and written.
• Ideally, you are already experienced with tools we use — JIRA, Confluence, Mural, UML, BPMN, and MS Teams (PowerApps and Workflows) — and bring fresh perspectives.
