About the role
- Senior Cloud Engineer delivering cloud solutions in Azure or AWS for Services Australia. Playing a pivotal role in application development projects across Technology and Digital Program Group.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy greenfield and brownfield cloud platforms
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Configure and manage core services like Azure Key Vault
- Establish robust networking components
- Develop and enforce governance frameworks
- Provide technical guidance and documentation to teams
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Azure/AWS
- Experience in greenfield/brownfield setups
- Knowledge of IaC
- Proficient in networking, governance, and security (RBAC/IAM, guardrails)
- Understanding of Australian government cloud compliance, data sovereignty, and privacy laws
- Strong technical experience in either Azure or AWS public clouds
- Certifications such as AZ-104/AZ-305 (Azure) or AWS SysOps/CloudOps highly desirable
