About the role
- Systems Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining IT systems at CUMULUS MEDIA. Ensuring high availability of infrastructure while providing user support and troubleshooting key technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide analysis and recommendations to streamline operations while striving to improve reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with key technologies
- Configure and test various equipment for production rollout
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls
- Assist others with technical anomalies and resolve issues
- Handle emergency situations in calm and scientific manner
- Occasional travel on both scheduled and emergency basis
- Rotating on-call status requiring availability both via cell phone and physical access to the network within two-hours
- Document IT systems
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Five years experience in network administration
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
- Continuing education to maintain knowledge on the latest systems and technology
