About the role
- Senior QA Engineer working remotely to ensure product quality for Contabo Group. Collaborating with teams to drive quality in features and releases.
Responsibilities
- Actively support our team at GPORTAL
- Test features, improve test coverage, stabilize releases, and support the team where quality expertise is needed most
- Review product requirements and user stories before development starts, ask the right questions, and ensure features are testable and clearly defined
- Design and execute functional, regression, exploratory, and UAT tests with a strong sense of responsibility and understanding of business impact
- Assist in creating and maintaining automated UI, API, and integration tests, and contribute to improving our continuous testing setup
- Perform root-cause analysis, document defects, and work closely with developers to efficiently resolve issues
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in software testing/QA, ideally in agile environments or within the hosting industry
- Hands-on experience in test automation with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid experience with modern test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Pytest) and a strong understanding of test design, test strategies, and QA processes
- Experience in API testing (REST/GraphQL) and practical experience in exploratory and regression testing
- Proficient with Git and common issue-tracking tools
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into structured test cases and test plans
- Familiar with web technologies (HTML/CSS, browser DevTools) and experienced in supporting UAT and collaborating with stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize multiple test streams and work independently
- Desirable: experience in performance or integration testing and further developing QA processes
