About the role
- General Ledger Accountant responsible for financial statements and audits in a cloud hosting company. Collaborating with the GL team and optimizing accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the company's growth and changes are correctly reflected in the accounting records and financial statements
- Support the accounting department in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Review and provide commentary on financial statements and support external audits
- Post journal entries (e.g., fixed assets or intercompany transactions) and ensure audit readiness
- Learn the processes within your area of responsibility and optimize them where necessary
Requirements
- Degree in economics or commercial vocational training with an additional qualification as an accountant
- Accounting knowledge in accordance with HGB and IFRS is desirable
- Excellent analytical skills
- Very good English skills for communicating with international colleagues
- Three to five years of professional experience in a comparable position
- Experience in auditing is desirable but not required
- Desire to further develop your area of work
- Commitment and a sense of responsibility, and willingness to familiarize yourself with the company structure and stay up to date
