Responsibilities
Provides direct care to patients with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations in various settings.
Collaborates with patients, families, and health care team members to implement a continuous care plan.
Participates in staff development and research activities.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy required. Doctoral Degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pediatric therapy strongly preferred.
Current State of Connecticut Physical Therapist License required or Temporary State of Connecticut License with the oversight of Licensed Physical Therapist. If hired with Temporary License, must attain Permanent License within 120 days of hire.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/ CPR in adult, child and infant within first six months of hire.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology.
Skills in Microsoft Office.
Bilingual preferred.
Ability to perform standardized clinical assessments and report effectively.
Ability to travel between specialty care locations.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
