About the role

• DevSecOps Specialist overseeing security in Microsoft environments within banking consultancy. Collaborating with developers and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for effective operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and integrate security measures across a growing IT environment, covering the entire software development and operations lifecycle (DevOps process)
• Key tasks include optimizing development processes and tools, automating security tests, and implementing secure CI/CD pipelines by optimizing shell scripts
• Perform vulnerability analyses and manage infrastructure security
• Support developers throughout the development lifecycle
• Ensure the secure configuration and management of systems, including containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environments
• Monitor systems for security incidents and regularly conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, including root cause analysis
• Ensure compliance and data protection (ISO 27001, GDPR) across the full workflow
• Maintain best practices and company standards, including creating and maintaining documentation
• Work on ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• DevSecOps Engineer (ECDE) certification is an advantage
• Experience as a DevSecOps engineer in banking, consulting on banking projects, or at an international Microsoft partner
• Ability to analyze IT environments from a top-down perspective
• Experience with end-to-end hybrid cloud and AI-driven solutions
• Solid understanding of cloud security concepts, vulnerability management, and secure configuration in cloud environments
• Strong technical proficiency with Kubernetes
• Experience with at least one CI/CD tool (e.g., Azure DevOps)
• Experience with logging, ETL, API Management, and NoSQL databases
• Development experience with Microsoft .NET and familiarity with Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, or Kafka
• Experience with version control (Git), automation tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java
• Ability to collaborate effectively with development and operations teams and to promote security awareness
• Hands-on mentality
• Proficiency in German and English.
