Responsibilities
Use your expertise to design, build, and maintain automation frameworks and services that streamline financial settlement and reconciliation processes
Enhance reliability, performance, and scalability of core systems
Drive continuous improvement through modern engineering practices
Mentor engineers to uplift technical delivery and quality standards
Drive an engineering team to develop delivery goals within agreed timelines
Facility Agile Scrum practices within the team, offer support to delivery managers in defining timelines and project requirements
Ensure the team is developing software quality in line with the broader teams’ expectations
Facilitate and govern peer reviews and testing standards
Empower and develop the engineering team’s skills
Facilitate training, ensure all technical analysts are meeting needs and gaining help to close gaps
Grow a culture that elicits a high-performing team and a fun working environment
Work collaboratively with the Business Stakeholders, and Business Programme Managers and Implementation partners to ensure delivery success
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years professional experience in developing technical services that provides deep specialised knowledge in Java and Cloud technologies
Delivering outcomes across multiple technical products and services, delivering to implementation requirements and contributing solution design/architecture
Scoping specification of solutions and the ability to garner support from others on the desired solution
Working effectively with cross functional teams and collaborating to achieve a common goal, meet deadlines and provide value adding services and solutions
Solid experience with:
o Java (SpringBoot)
o React (Next.js, shadecdn)
o Azure (DevOps, Entra ID, ServiceBus, Storage) or AWS (with a good understand of general services)
o Linux
o SQL databases
Experience working in large scale projects and heavy-traffic platforms
Exceptional customer service
Experience in Payment/Fintech technology advantageous
Relevant post-secondary qualification (in technology engineering discipline such as computer science, information systems engineering etc.)
