About the role

  • Regional QSE Director overseeing quality and food safety systems across the CCAR region. Partnering with stakeholders to drive compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • The Regional Quality, Safety & Environment (QSE) Director is responsible and ensures the consistent implementation of Quality, Food Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental systems across ingredients, packaging, manufacturing, distribution, and marketplace operations, while protecting consumers, people, the environment, and brand integrity in the region.
  • As a regional leader, the QSE Director partners closely with bottlers, suppliers, and functional teams to drive qse‑by‑design, innovation, governance excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead, implement, and standardized QSE capabilities, specifications, processes, and performance expectations for ingredients, packaging, manufacturing, distribution, and marketplace operations across the CCAR region.
  • Ensure effective implementation and governance of The Coca‑Cola Quality System (KORE) and all global QSE standards, ensuring full compliance with company requirements and local regulations.
  • Define regional QSE strategies and oversee their execution, evaluating and certifying the effectiveness of QSE systems at bottling plants, authorized suppliers, laboratories, and customer environments.
  • Provide thought leadership in quality‑by‑design (QbD), driving innovation, partnership governance, and risk‑based decision making across the supply chain.
  • Support and strengthen Occupational Health & Safety systems and programs in close collaboration with the OU Health & Safety Director, embedding best‑in‑class safety leadership across operations and partners.
  • Continuously research, evaluate, and deploy new technologies, methodologies, and processes to reduce variation, enhance quality and safety, improve environmental performance, and optimize cost of quality.
  • Lead strategic problem solving for significant QSE risks or incidents, ensuring timely closure of corrective and preventive actions and sustainable resolution of systemic issues.
  • Ensure continuity of supply and authorization of new sources through audits, assessments, and approvals of manufacturing facilities, suppliers, laboratories, bottlers, and fountain customers as required.
  • Generate and analyze regional QSE performance reports, using historical data and trends to drive continuous improvement and manage the cost of quality failures across CCAR markets.
  • Represent the company externally by leading or participating in professional forums, supplier engagements, and customer or industry meetings related to quality, safety, and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Quality Systems, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Laboratory Management, R&D, Engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise in implementing, operating, and governing Quality, Food Safety, Safety, and Environmental management systems.
  • Strong understanding of beverage manufacturing, process controls, ingredient and packaging technologies, and supplier quality management.
  • Advanced analytical and statistical problem‑solving skills to support data‑driven, risk‑based decisions that protect consumers, customers, and brand integrity.
  • Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement initiatives, project management, and Lean / Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with proven ability to influence internal and external partners including bottlers, suppliers, regulators, and customers.
  • Ability to assess complex risks, develop mitigation strategies, and lead sustainable solutions across the supply chain.
  • High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills in multicultural and multi‑country environments.
  • Deep understanding of customer, partner, and market expectations within the CCAR region, with the ability to translate them into effective QSE strategies.
