About the role
- Senior Staff Accountant managing investment accounting for CNO Financial Group. Responsible for financial reporting and investment deliverables under GAAP and statutory accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Investment Accounting management team with project work and process improvements
- Researching, creating, and developing investment reports on various fixed income investment types
- Analyzing investment results at granular levels to support asset class and legal entity reporting
- Preparing, analyzing and reporting detailed expense reporting
- Assisting staff with responsibilities, including cash balancing
- Processing complex investment activity
- Assisting with coaching and training of less experienced members within the department
- Validating the integrity of the data housed within the subledger
- Preparing monthly and quarterly workpapers and report deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
- 5 years of related experience
- Proficiency in accounting concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
