Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and model moderately complex organizational data to deliver business insights that drive strategy execution, operational accountability, and growth within a business area
- Support initiatives to implement automated scorecards, AI enabled insights, and individual account scenario analysis tools that enable underwriters in planning and executing CNA’s global underwriting strategies
- Partner closely with Underwriting and business leaders to translate objectives into actionable analytics, BI solutions, and performance metrics
- Perform moderately complex analytical and statistical modeling to quantify business performance, evaluate operational changes, and support decision-making
- Communicate findings and make recommendations to management
- Design and build BI dashboards and reporting solutions that translate business objectives into meaningful metrics and support ongoing performance management and accountability
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or related field
- Typically a minimum of four years of related work experience
- Solid knowledge of core functions of a commercial insurance company, including underwriting, portfolio management, and operational drivers of profitability
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and modern BI tooling, with awareness of version control and governed development practices
- Demonstrated experience applying AI-enabled analytics tools and prompt-engineering techniques
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve moderately complex situations and issues; demonstrates a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team; effectively manages time and resources to accomplish multiple tasks and meet deadlines with urgency
