About the role
- Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing and developing the SAP connector for Fastpath Assure platform. Collaborating with teams to drive strategic direction and ensure successful implementation.
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of the Fastpath Assure–SAP connector, from architecture and design through development, testing, and ongoing maintenance.
- Drive the technology and implementation roadmap for the SAP connector, partnering with product management and engineering leadership to prioritize and deliver new capabilities.
- Develop and maintain ABAP programs, function modules, BAPIs, and enhancement frameworks to support data extraction, event handling, and integration with the Fastpath Assure platform.
- Manage SAP transports across development, QA, and production landscapes, ensuring disciplined change management and adherence to SAP best practices.
- Apply deep knowledge of the SAP security framework — including TCodes, Authorization Objects, and SAP Fiori app permissions — to build a connector that accurately captures and represents access and risk data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements, troubleshoot issues across SAP landscapes, and communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leverage AI-driven development tools and coding agents to accelerate delivery and improve engineering productivity.
- Provide technical mentorship and contribute to a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP development experience, with strong proficiency in ABAP programming including reports, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, and enhancement spots.
- Proven experience managing SAP transports and working within structured SAP development, QA, and production landscape environments.
- Deep understanding of the SAP security framework, including TCodes, Authorization Objects, roles, profiles, and SAP Fiori app access controls.
- Demonstrated ability to own and drive a technical product or integration from initial design through production delivery with minimal guidance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex SAP concepts for audiences across engineering, product, and customer teams.
