About the role
- Electrical Transmission Engineer leading complex engineering projects for grid reliability and energy transition. Collaborating with diverse teams and mentoring junior engineers in an innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for electric overhead transmission projects
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
- Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues across critical electric transmission initiatives
- Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable, cost-effective, and future-ready grid solutions
- Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff working on electric overhead transmission and power delivery projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required
- Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required; previous transmission engineer experience required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, MicroStation, PLS-CADD, etc.)
- Microsoft Office required; AutoCAD experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
- Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment as well as independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with clients on a regular basis
