About the role
- Web Designer responsible for leading the visual design of web applications at Yardi Romania. Collaborating with clients and teams to deliver user-friendly and functional websites.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements, brand guidelines, and target audience preferences.
- Define and develop the overall look, feel, and style of the website, including color schemes, layout, typography, and imagery, in line with the client's brand identity.
- Design and refine wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to establish structure, functionality, and user flow before final implementation.
- Build and implement user interfaces using front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ensure responsive, accessible, and intuitive design across all devices and screen sizes, providing a seamless user experience.
- Stay current with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies, and share insights to help the team continuously improve.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Figma (primary design tool), with solid experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- 3+ years of experience in web-based graphic or interface design, with practical understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript or jQuery.
- Strong knowledge of modern web UI technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS).
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design and Development, Art, or a related field - or equivalent education and experience.
- Excellent design sense and creativity, with the ability to create visually appealing layouts, color schemes, typography, and elements consistent with brand identity.
- Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
- Ability to approach design challenges with creativity and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting design and layout issues.
- Awareness of accessibility and SEO principles, ensuring websites are usable by individuals with disabilities and optimized for visibility.
- Familiarity with Bootstrap and Flexbox for responsive layouts is considered a plus.
- Experience with user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
